Vista: Appearance and Performance Options

Windows Vista comes with advanced visual effects like animated screen, Fade or slide menus etc which consumes more resources.By default these settings are "Enabled". By disabling some of these settings will help you to improve your system performance .

To adjust your system performance

1. Open the control panel
2. In Classic View, open up System
Or
Go to Start menu , right click "Computer" then select properties.


3. Click "Advanced System Settings"



4. In the Advanced tab,Click the Settings button Locate under "Performance" .




5. Under Visual Effects tab, there is a list of effects used by Windows Vista, which is enabled by default. You can adjust system performance by "Disable" or "Enable" these settings .
