Online Virus Scanner For Emails and Other Suspicious Files


If you got a mail from your friend with an attachment, usually you will open that attachment with-out doubts. What if your friends computer is infected with a Virus or Worm or A Trojan? Don't forget that new generation Viruses are capable of collecting email address from computer they are infected.

If you want to scan a file which is in your hard drive, then you can directly upload that file to virustotal.com through a web browser.

This tool helps you to send or upload files directly from your system using the context menu.


Things to remember.

1. Virustotal won't clean your file; it will only detect infection on your file.

2. E-mail’s subject must be "SCAN".

3. Mail/Attachment/File should be less than 10 MB.
